Any high-school senior planning to attend a post-secondary educational institution may apply for The Village Players’ Scholarship.
Guidelines for The Village Players Scholarship
Purpose: The purpose of this scholarship is to assist students who have shown an interest in the performing arts and who intend to pursue higher education.
Eligibility: Applicant must be a senior in high school and must be planning to continue his or her education in a post-secondary institution. Those planning to major in some form of the arts will be given priority, but the scholarship is also available to others who have shown an interest in the arts and intend to pursue some form of the arts in their adult life. Scholarships are awarded to students from Brewster Academy, Kingswood Regional High School, Prospect Mountain High School or other students who have been active in The Village Players.
Deadline: Scholarship applications must be received by the last May 31 to be considered for the following year.
Award: The monetary award will be decided by the Village Players Board and will be granted directly to the student in his or her second semester of post-secondary education. Once chosen for the award, the student must submit a copy of his/her first semester transcript the following January or February to show that he/she will be continuing into the second semester. We encourage the student to attend our January Board meeting to collect payment in person and to let the Board know how college is going whenever this is possible.

Application: Must be on the Village Players Application Form. Please include at least one letter of recommendation. Also include any documentation that you think might help the board decide on your qualifications for this scholarship.
