A Little about us

For over forty years The Village Players have been entertaining with comedy, mysteries, song and dance, and plays that make you stop and think. Each year we present two or three plays, and a full-scale musical. We own and maintain our theater building, an 1880s structure originally built as a church. With extensive renovation and tender care, we have turned it into a comfortable air-conditioned theater with tiered seating, and theatrical lighting and sound systems. There are innumerable ways to get involved in The Village Players from acting, to set building to costume design, to managing ushers and box office. Community theater gets teens away from their screens, keeps the older folks actively engaged in work, and welcomes a range of talents, educational backgrounds, and life experiences. All ages mix in our productions, and theater people make lots of new friends!

Thank you to our sponsors

The Village Players are the grateful recipients of a grant from the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation’s Bellis Family Fund. With these funds, we have purchased and installed LED stage lighting, which will improve the artistic presentation of our productions, save on energy costs, and keep our actors cool on stage!
